POPIA-conscious data handling
AgriConnect SA may collect your name, contact number, WhatsApp number, email address, province, municipality, town, farming category, products, photos, buyer requests and opportunity responses. Public marketplace views exclude direct contact details, private buyer notes, notification messages and internal review records.
We use this information to review farmer applications, create approved profiles, match farmers with buyer requests, provide support and produce internal impact reporting.
AgriConnect SA processes personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act. We aim to collect only what is necessary for the pilot and platform function.
Relevant farmer or buyer information may be shared with authorised AgriConnect staff, buyers, farmers or partners only where it is needed for matching, support, verification or opportunity follow-up.
You may request correction, update or deletion of your information by contacting AgriConnect SA. We may retain limited records where required for audit, safety, dispute handling or legal reasons.
